The fourth newsletter (June 1, 2001)

Greetings, friends!

Just a quick heads-up from Angry Youth HQ, letting you know about some changes goin' on over at http://www.johnnyr.com. To wit:

* Check out the weekly "Shouldn't You Be Working?" doodle section, which has been updated every Monday for the last 5 weeks. This is where Johnny shows y'all the silly doodles he does while wasting away at his dayjob. If you haven't been checking in regularly, not to worry-- just snoop around the Archives. http://www.johnnyr.com/comix/index.html

* As promised, we've got our "Fan Art" section up-and-running, with a slew of AYC tributes drawn by your fave comic artists. So far we've got drawings from the ultra-benevolent Coop, Tony Millionaire, Peter Bagge, Kurt Wolfgang, Danny Hellman and Ivan Brunetti! In the works: Kaz, Eric Reynolds, Dan Clowes and Sam Henderson. Send in YOUR drawings of your fave AYC characters...you don't have to be a comic-world superstar, you know. No, seriously! http://www.johnnyr.com/comix/fanArt.html

In other website news, check out the Comic Art Collective at http://www.comicartcollective.com. Johnny's added a heap of new artwork for sale, including the ever-popular "Pukins!" gag pages from AYC #1. Hallelujah!

In print news, head to the newsstand and check out the new issue of Nickelodeon magazine (featuring that porky green dude "Shrek" on the cover). Johnny's got a full-color gag in the "Comic Book" section of the mag, proving yet again that Mr. "Third Rate Ivan Brunetti" (as a dimbulb Comics Journal message board visitor recently deemed Johnny) can still crack up the kiddies!

That's it for this go-round. Be cool, stay in school-- and as always, if you'd rather not receive these messages, hit reply and put "unsubscribe" in the subject line. (But we really hope you won't.)

Peace out!

PS: If you have a personal message for Johnny, his address is superjohnny69@yahoo.com. This address exists purely for the e-list. Learn it, live it, love it.
